BTO Sports Launches Supercross Finale Contest on Facebook
Thousand Oaks, CA - March 1, 2011 – BTO Sports, a leading retailer of dirt bike and motocross gear, is pleased to announce their newest Facebook contest that will send one lucky winner and a friend to the Las Vegas Supercross Finale on May 7. Beginning March 1 at 12:01 AM (PST) and ending March 29 at 11:59 PM (PST), contestants are to create a 2-3 minute film of themselves or friends riding a motorcycle while expressing how they feel about BTO Sports, and posting it on the BTO Sports Facebook Page.
The winner will be determined by which video has the most Facebook "likes" by the end of the 29-day contest period. Facebook users can vote on the video they like best once each day, and the video with the most votes at 11:59 PM (PST) on March 29 will win the grand prize. The winner will be announced at 12:00 PM (PST) on April 1, 2011.
"Everyone knows that the Vegas Supercross is one of the biggest industry events of the year, so what better a prize for our loyal fans than a trip to the finale," said a BTO Sports representative. "Whether they say, 'I love BTO Sports motorcycle gear' or 'Take me to Las Vegas, BTO Sports,' all they have to do is mention BTO Sports once in the video, and they can be as creative and funny as they want to. We not only get the opportunity to get to know our fans, but we get to send the lucky winner to something they will remember for a lifetime."
The winner of the contest will receive a trip to the Supercross finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. The prize package includes a $1,000(USD) check applicable to airfare costs or to any other expenses of the winner's choosing, accommodations at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for the length of two days and two nights, along with two tickets to the Supercross event in Sam Boyd Stadium on May 7, and the chance to exclusively meet the BTO Sports/BBMX Suzuki riders: Michael Byrne and Jason Thomas. The winner will get to meet "Byrner" and "JT$" in the pits at the race, and take a full tour of the BTO Sports race team rig. The winning video will also be featured on the BTO Sports website. Contestants must be at least 21 years of age to participate.
"With so many great riders fighting to be the 2011 AMA Supercross Champion, we know this year is going to be huge," said the BTO Sports representative. The Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is entering its fourth decade of racing at some of the most recognized stadiums in the world.
