ALL ASTERISK BRACES COME WITH A PAIR OF SOCKS. It is a very good idea to order at least an extra pair of under sleeves for $20.
Mid-Knee Cap Circumference Size:
13"- 13 7/8", Small
14"-14 7/8", Medium
15"-15 7/8", Large
16"-16 7/8", XLarge
17"-18 1/4", XXLarge
Advanced Strength Carbon Technology Frame:
Carbon fiber injection molding process creates a strong, lightweight, rigid structure to help withstand forces and protect the knee. Ergonomically designed frame for an improved intimate feel (for the bike)
NEW!! Telescoping Patella Cup:
Brand new unique telescoping design offers more protection than the first Cell Brace. This special design will cover the kneecap area in a straight leg position and in a bent position including coverage of the areas above and below the kneecap.
Oblique Axial-Free Motion Hinge:
Oblique Axial Hinge. The only hinge ever developed that can contour the inside of a leg at an oblique angle to the outside hinge. This allows for a low profile fit. Simulates the natural knee motion of flexion (bending) and extension (straightening) and automatically aligns/locates/positions/ the tibia (shin bone) for a proper fit. Prevents slipping and positioning of the frames on the leg and has a "free" nonrestrictive motion. Auto aligning allows for the lower frame to automatically locate the correct angle of the users lower leg. Two sizes of joint pads are included with every order for individual adjustment.
NEW!! Lace-Liner Buckle System:
Two piece lace liner for secure comfortable fit. Prevents "roping" across the muscles sometimes experienced with straps. Wraps the muscles, securing the frame to the leg comfortably. Provides increased protection and eliminates slipping. No stretch laces glide through abrasion resistant lace loops for even distribution and a conforming fit. Removable washable liner. New easier to use single finger quick release.
Adaptable Tendon Cuff:
Attaches to the upper and lower frame wrapping the thigh and calf. Special tendon strips retain stiffness at adjusted positions to maintain structural integrity for increased support and protection.
Thermo-Formed Padding Interface:
Thermo-formed for intimate frame and cuff fit. Increases impact resistance. Different thickness of frame and joint pads are sent for a custom fit. Self centering tibia padding design for skin alignment and comfort.

I'm pushing 50, and broke the top of my tibia (at the knee) 5 years ago when my knee dislocated sideways. These would have prevented that. If you follow the instructions and fit them to your leg with the easy adjustments, then you will have some very comfortable and valuable protection. I let a friend borrow them for some races (who had also broke his leg, worse than mine), he said he forgot he had them on...had 'em on ALL day.

Really good and comfortable, great support. The problem tough is the shoe laces on the back, the metal rings started rusting after about 3 months and they end up cutting trough the strings.
I knew about this problem when I bought them so I tried to take good care of them but it still happened. I am planning to change the laces out for Ty-wraps and see how it goes.
Where I live there is high humidity so it does not help.

Comments about Asterisk - Cell Knee Brace (Pair) (Free 2nd day air):
Have had these for 2 weeks. First ride i thought they where going to be a pain. After about 10 min forgot they where there. I have a buggered knee from another bike accident and these feel as good as my brace which was custom fitted. The first ride lasted about 4 hours through forrest trails and mountain goat country with a massive rear wheel washout, i had a sore knee for a week where i landed on the brace but if i had not been wearing them a would have done alot more damage.
The teathers are a must. I fitted mine up to my Sidi boots without drilling any holes, modified the legs of my pants and went for a 2hr ride. The teathers stiffen the hole leg up which prevents the knee from twisting when you hit your boot on something. Great design.

[...] For this price you shouldn't hesitate buying these braces - cheaper than a knee reconstruction. We purchased these because the last thing we wanted is our 14yr old son having to deal with knee problems for the rest of his life like his father has had to.

Im glad i bought these. They take away the pressure on your knees, and put it up on your thighs. My knees no longer hurt after riding. Should have bought these years ago, very satisfied.
