These braces offer great protection, are built well, and as an Alpine Stars fan, I wanted them to work as good as they looked. Unfortunately, despite sizing it correctly, I could never get the strap below the knee tight enough to stop the brace sliding down. Because of the design of the buckles, there is only so far you can tighten the straps. So for long rides, they always slid down and were very uncomfortable. Not much padding on the inside of the braces at all. For short rides and races, it should be fine and offers exceptional protection. For longer rides they are so uncomfortable.
