We used Don Joys for a few years until a crash left us with a broken femur....caused by the metal frame of the DonJoys. Bought this brace a few years ago. It offers good protection for the money. Ordering our second set now. We have been riding MX for over 12 years.

Its very easy to wear and comfy but not very protective. Kneecap part is just good but few weeks ago I crashed at the track in a 80feet jump and I hit my upper knee on to handlebar and it hurt alot, also the metal parts on the sides is protective for sprains but after the crash I rolled on the ground and I hit my inside of my kneecap and the aluminum part made it worse and made it extra bruised
