FMF - Powerbomb Header
The redesigned PowerBomb is a four-stroke header that incorporates FMF's
patented PowerBomb module at a precise location in the initial stage of the
header. By positioning this "Bomb" at a key point in the system, increased
performance and flow is achieved through the expansion and contraction of
exhaust sonics through the system. Result is a flow increase of nearly 10%! The
surface area of the perforated core lets the exhaust gasses exit into the "Bomb"
chamber and then allows the air to expand, cool and ramp back up at a higher
velocity.
Additionally, the PowerBomb is a "pre-muffler" of sorts which helps to lower the
bikes sound output by providing more sound absorbing surface area for the sound
medium (exhaust gases). On some models, you can choose between a moto or
supercross version. The supercross version is designed for more low to mid-range
power where the moto version is focused in the mid to upper RPM range.

Comments about FMF - Powerbomb Headers (Stainless Steel):
Great looking bit of gear, really helped to open up my asthmatic 2011 wr450f. Paired with a 4.1 muffler it has really helped wheelieing power. Initially i thought id never get it fitted properly cause of clearance issues, but after wrestleing it around a bit it was actually a really good fit. Just remember to leave the bolts really loose and you can even use wedges to position pipe before you torque it all up.

Comments about FMF - Powerbomb Headers (Stainless Steel):
Purchased along with 4.1 Ti slip on. I went for the S/steel version as i had already bumped my OEM header pipe more than once on my CRF450X. My concerns were that a titanium header might be a little vulnerable at the front of my CRF, so I opted for the S/Steel. Has a slightly shorter header path compared to OEM & doesn't hang down as low. It more or less just comes out of the head, turns around the radiator hoses & shoots straight out towards the back via a expansion chamber (aka power bomb). Pipe fittment between mid pipe & header pipe was on the tight side & I had to do some minor polishing to make sure removal after a couples of rides wasn't going to be impossible.
