Pro Taper - Evo Handlebars
How does it compare to the original Pro Taper handlebar?
The EVO is based on the same platform as our original Pro Taper bar but we have added some great improvements including:
- All EVO handlebars are manufactured to more exact rise and pullback specifications and tolerances to provide a consistent and accurate feel.
- Independent lab tests show that the EVO handlebar outlasts every other handlebar on the market in fatigue life.
- The EVO handlebar incorporates a unique coating inside the tubing of the handlebar to resist corrosion.
- The use of left side knurling provides maximum grip traction,
Chemically applied graphics are scratch resistant, can’t peel, and provide long lasting appeal - Handlebar end plugs help keep the elements out of the handlebar tubing and aid in longer grip wear.
EVO has the best balance between fatigue life, impact strength and impact absorbing flex.
How is it different from our Contour handlebar?
The Contour model is a special blend of alloy processed into 5mm wall thickness tubing. The EVO model utilizes a computer profiled 4mm wall design, thus making the EVO handlebar lighter and giving it a more sensitive feel. In addition the EVO also is made of a unique blend of premium alloy that has proven results. EVO also incorporates the use of a unique coating inside the tubing to resist corrosion ultimately extending the life of the bar.

Comments about Pro Taper - Evo Handlebars:
These are a must for their strength, weight, and people running computers or steering stabilizers on their bikes. These bars have survive crashes better than the stock Renthal bars. Last 3 bikes my family has bought, the first upgrades were suspension, scotts stabilizer and Pro Taper bars.
