Comments about Scorpion - VX-24 Vortech Helmet:
I am a used-to-race recreational rider. I hit the track sometimes and ride severe trails. This helmet is on the pudgy side. It could be lighter, and feels bulky. The roost guard and mouthpiece are shakily attached. I took them off, and they are not what I'd call securely fastened. I modified them and bonded them better, and now have no complaints. The Reebok style pump is fairly useless, but could be made a nice feature in newer iterations. The areas that inflate just don't make a big difference in feel (under the ears, mostly). Overall, a rugged trail helmet, good looks, graphics are high quality, vents are nice. Metal hardware, great fabric material inside (Kwik-wick?). For the price, hard to beat.
