I race regional motocross and the odd time trail rides. You can wear these boots all day long and your feet will never be stiff or sore. Great protection and durable product.

These ARE good boots,..but there's some issues with them; First, these boots have weird feeling "pads" on the inner ankle area that push hard on your ankle bones!!!(ouch!) Maybe after some 'brake-in' time the ankle area will start to loosen-up??(I hope..) Second, buy 1 size smaller because they do run big! The up side is the toe & foot area are very comfy, and there pretty light on your feet. I'm not really sure if there WORTH the money they cost, but time will tell....

Boots are great. I have wore Tech 10's and they feel heavy and blocky. These are narrow at the toe for easy shifting narrow in height not width. They r broke in pretty much when you slide them on ur feet and they have superior ankle protection!

The boots are excellent from the minute you wear them you would tell of the quality of fit, material used, support and protection provided.
They instantly are broken in.I also think the quality is not just this model by a reflection of the high standard of Gaerne.

These are really nice boots.
They are a little thicker in the soles which took some getting used to as it sits you higher on the bike but the shock absorption, light weight, and buckles that really work was a terrific change from boots I have had in the past.I am a convert!

These are without a doubt the best boots on the market. I've worn all kinds of boots, Berik, Fox f3's, Alpinstars, but none of them even came close to the SG12's. They are extremely comfortable and very durable. The only complaint I have is that the part of the boots that rubs the frame and side panels of the bike is black so it rubs off a lil bit, but with a little bit of elbow grease the marks come off the bike no problem.

I have had lots of boots, but Gaerne SG12 is by far the best boot I have every worn!!!
It looks pretty nice. Every area that takes abuse is covered in a plastic/rubber type shield and textured for grip - the best design I've ever seen.
The adjustment system is excellent too. I' ve never had any problems with the buckles. The buckle straps move very easily. There are three available shin plate settings.
Seems that the Gaerne sole lasts forever. And the sole provides good feel on the pegs. It's very important.
The toe box isn't the slimmest on the market, but I think it's because of the memory foam. And it's memory foam is a real revolution – it's at the top of comfort. These boots feel broken-in like you have worn them for several years straight out of the box. No break in needed at all. The entire inside of the boot (coated in memory foam) conforms to the shape of your foot, ankle and leg for a custom made, and very cozy, feel and fit.
A couple of things you should know about them, besides I think that SG12 is one of the leaders of the market.
1. It's a heavy boot, (if you take it for enduro riding and you'll ride all day long), but it is excellent for motocross.
2. There is a little aluminum part – it's very easy to loose it. Some of my friends have already lost it.
3. If there's a part you need it's rather difficult to find it in Russia.
The Gaerne SG12 is a top-level boot, thanks to its exceptional comfort and high level of protection. And no doubt that it deserves its premium price.
