Pro Taper

Pro Taper is another product carried proudly by BTO Sports. The Pro Taper Company has been around since 1991 making innovative motorcycle handle bars such as the Taperwall handlebar which started Pro Taper on the road to success. The Pro Taper’s unique rubber mounted triple clamp means the company is still in the lead for innovative performance based products. Supercross and Motocross teams rely on Pro Taper Products as do the biggest factory teams such as Factory Yamaha, Factory Suzuki, Subway/Coca Cola. Handlebars

Pro Taper contour handlebars are made with 1 1/8” bar aerospace 2050 aluminum with chemically applied graphics—not stickers. The handlebars are knurled on the clutch side for secure gripping power. When you need to modify the bars, Pro Taper has provided ¼” cut guides for precision. The handlebar includes a high-density molded bar-pad, and comes in four colors, gold, black, platinum and silver. Pro Taper handlebars are 45% stronger and 35% lighter than conventional bars.

Pro Taper SE handlebars are made with high strength 2014 aerospace aluminum alloy with a rating of 70,000 psi. The SE handlebar has ¼” cut guides for top precision

Fatigue life is increased due to the shot-peened finish. Maximum strength is provided by the 5 mm wall thickness. The crossbar is cold forged and the hardware is formed of the highest quality of stainless steel.

Other

Pro-Taper Twister Frictionless Throttle Tubes are the best on the market, hands down. The throttle tube is made of anodized aluminum. The sealed ball bearing and polymer bushing areas ensure consistently smooth throttle operation. The grip mounting area is knurled .so there is less likelihood of slippage. This means that the Pro-Taper Frictionless Throttle Tube is less likely to be damaged in a crash.

The Pro Taper rubber mount clamp provides up to five mounting positions for the handlebar which helps improve rider positioning. A better position reduces fatigue and improves handling of the bike. The bolt pattern on the mounting clamp maximizes bar clamping strength.
