The Leatt 6.5 Carbon V16 Helmet is one of the best dirt bike helmets in the world. The helmet has been engineered, using patented technology, to be one of the safest helmets on the market. Constructing a helmet with a carbon fiber shell allows the size of the helmet shell to be reduced, due to the increased durability and more aerodynamic. These helmets utilize Armourgel turbines, placed in multiple points along the helmet, to mitigate impacts across the exterior of the helmet. Armourgel is a material that hardens upon impact. The harder the impact, the harder the gel becomes. These turbines absorb the impact which reduces impact stress, but also helps decelerate the riders head rotation speed to avoid brain damage.
