The Leatt GPX 5.5 I.K.S pants are designed to be both comfortable and durable. Over seventy-five percent of the pants are made out of diamond stretch fabric. This fabric affords the rider maximum breathability, an important trait in any pair of dirt bike pants. The fabric is also moisture wicking, meaning it draws moisture away from the skin and into the fabric where it can evaporate. The seat of these dirt bike pants is made out of an even stronger 1000D nylon, to ensure this critical area can withstand abuse. The inner leg is constructed out of NanoGrip fabric, a material used for the palms of the Leatt GPX glove line. NanoGrip is great for gripping in both wet and dry environments. The material is breathable and very durable. In addition to the durability of the pants, they are also very comfortable. They come pre-tailored for a more comfortable fit.  The knees have a four point ventilation system to keep them cool and comfortable. The vents are made out of the X-flow mesh material to afford maximum airflow. This ventilation is especially important while wearing knee guard. These pants are one of the most comfortable and durable motocross pants currently available. 

These pants are loaded with many other features that distinguish the GPX 5.5 pants from other motocross pants. The primary feature of these pants is the internal knee-brace system (I.K.S). This protects the pants and the bike from knee brace wear. The knee caps are 3D molded with extra knee cap reinforcement. The dirt bike pants are constructed with stretch panels around the knees that increase the elasticity of the pants. All the zippers on the pants are Japanese YKK manufactured. They are reinforced with hidden stitching for a sleek look. The inner lining of the dirt bike pants is made of moisture wicking mesh lining. This layer is also uses a zinc pyrithion to reduce odor. The waist has a micro adjuster waist belt and side adjusters so every rider can have a custom fit. The waist band itself is lined with silicone to prevent a jersey form coming untucked.
