O'Neal 2018 Mayhem Lite Split Pant

Back when of off-road racing was just taking off, there were hardly any companies making gear specifically for dirt riders. People were using their street gear on dirt tracks & trails, but it was clear they needed more durable gear. Jim O’Neal saw the need for better dirt gear, and subsequently founded his company in 1970. You could say that the rest is history. O’Neal has been churning out high quality & reliable gear for 47 years, and aren’t about to let off the gas. In fact, the 2018 release is one of their best gear sets yet! It is chock full of great fantastic racewear, like the 2018 O’Neal Mayhem Lite Split Pant. This full featured pant is one of the best pair dirt bike pants released this year!

The O’Neal Mayhem Lite Split Pants are one of the best designs of the 2018 lineup. These dirt bike pants feature two different colorways for riders to choose from. Both O’Neal motocross pants pair up with a matching jersey for a great looking gear combo. The first colorway is the blue & yellow split design, while the other is a more conservative black & orange scheme. They are brandished with large O’Neal logos on the back of both thighs. The iconic “O” logo is featured in the accent color on top of both knees as well. The construction of these 2018 O’Neal motocross pants is geared more towards the serious rider. They are one of the lightest pants in the new release (right behind the Hardware Flow True). O’Neal even shed the rubber thigh patches to decrease the overall weight for optimal racing. The legs are tapered down near the bottom for a more streamline look, but also to prevent bunching. The knees on the O’Neal dirt bike pants are pre-bent; that way the pants don’t shift around or ride up.

Not only do these pants have a clean design, the 2018 O’Neal Mayhem Lite Split Pants have handy features as well! These dirt bike pants are constructed out of a hardy polyester fabric, backed by triple stitching for additional strength. One of the principal features of the Mayhem Lite Blockers is the internal mesh liner. The addition ventilation that the mesh liner provides definitely comes in handy during hot races. Speaking of which, these 2018 O’Neal motocross pants have a leather panels on both knees to protect the rider from excess heat that radiates from the bike. It also doubles as a gripping surface to for better bike control. One final key detail is the placement of stretch panels. This special material is place at key joints to provide a more natural range of motion. The stretch panels can be found in the crotch and in 360 degrees around the knees.
