TLD SE4 Polyacrylite Helmet | Product Spotlight

The 2019 SE4 Polyacrylite Helmet. A Truly Stunning Achievement.

Troy Lee Designs is more than a motocross company. They are an institution. And they’ve proven that point once more with the release of the new 2019 SE4 Polyacrylite Helmet. Basically, it’s everything you love about TLD helmets… But at an all-new, far more accessible price point.

Furthermore, just wait until you see the features and graphics on these new dirt bike helmets. These are the same graphics that have made TLD the most coveted helmet in the industry. And now they can be had at an incredible value.

As you can clearly see from the Team Edition 2 Helmet pictured above, the TLD artists have not lost their touch. Pull one of these babies out of your gearbag, and people take notice. So not only do these helmets have the safety bells & whistles you need, but the eye-popping artwork as well.

Here’s a video from Troy Lee Designs, detailing the great features of their new 2019 SE4 Series. It’s not unlike the great content you would find on the BTO Sports YouTube Channel. Enjoy:

Your level of safety shouldn’t be determined by the size of your bank account. To that end, Troy Lee Designs is proud to introduce the SE4 Polyacrylite Factory Helmet. A near carbon copy of its SE4 siblings, the lightweight SE4 Polyacrylite design incorporates the same triple-density EPS liner to better absorb low- and high-speed impacts and reinforced chin bar with EPP liner.

The SE4 Polyacrylite Team Edition 2 Helmet utilizes the MIPS protection system. Which is one of the most significant innovations in helmet technology in recent years. And with these advanced features comes the typical Troy Lee level of fit, finish and design! Boom.

In summary, the so-called entry-level helmet category has officially been turned upside down.

SE4 Polyacrylite Helmet Specs:

  • MIPS brain protection system, reduces rotational forces to the brain- very safe dirt bike riding gear
  • EPP (Expanded PolyPropylene) chin bar for lightweight, durable protection
  • Three sizes to more accurately fit a variety of head sizes and rider ages, improving overall safety
  • Anatomical –3D” contoured cheek pads with emergency release system for EMS responders
  • Plastic visor screws and brass inserts for easy impact break-away
  • Stainless steel chinstrap D-rings
  • Wide Viewport for motocross goggles
  • Comes with TLD drawstring helmet sock

The SE4 Series has been rocking the MX world for some time now. Here’s a video breaking down how this newest SE4 came into existence. The SE4 Polyacrylite Factory Helmet started the fire!

MIPS Protection

MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. And it turns these SE4’s into game-changing pieces of motocross protective gear! It is a revolutionary technology that lets the helmet slide relative to the head. Therefore adding more protection against rotational violence to the brain caused by angled impacts.

Weighing in at 1500 grams, our new SE4 Polyacrylite Baja Helmet (as well as the rest of the series) comes with MIPS, incorporating brain rotational protection.

This helmet comes with 16 intake ports to channel cool air around and over a rider’s head, forcing hot sweaty air out through six rear exhaust ports. And yes, all of this great ventilation comes in their youth dirt bike helmets!
