Troy Lee Designs has been making high quality products for over thirty years now. Mostly known for their high end helmets, Troy Lee also makes high performance racewear. The Troy Lee Designs Ace 2.0 Short is part of their 2017 lineup of mountain bike gear. The revamped Ace shorts improve upon their predecessor with many new features that make them an excellent pair of mountain bike shorts.

The old Troy Lee Ace shorts were a tight fitting, yet baggy pair of trail shorts. The Troy Lee Designs Ace 2.0 Short are still baggy, but have a more relaxed fit which gives riders a little more freedom to move around naturally. In addition to the relaxed fit, the ne Ace 2.0 shorts are a bit sturdier this time around. The shorts are a blend of polyester and spandex that are great for riding. The durability of the polyester combined with the flexibility of the four way stretch spandex is everything riders need in a pair of mountain bike shorts. The Ace 2.0 mountain bike shorts have a pocket on the right hip, equipped with a zipper to keep the contents secure so they don’t fall out. The shorts are secured to the rider by stretch fit elastic waistband. Weighing in at 0.25 pound, these are the lightest Troy Lee Shorts yet.
