Comments about SixSixOne - 2014 Comp Boot:

At $200, SixSixOne's are an awesome deal. I've owned a set of Comp boots since 2010 and will probably wear them into next year before I replace them with another set. They have certainly seen better days, but $200 for 5 years is a pretty good deal if you ask me. They're comfortable, taking almost no time to feel broken in. Several times they've saved my ankles from severe injury. They're as good as any boot at keeping out the elements. My friend and I bought boots at the same time, his were Aplinestars Tech 10's. We swapped after breaking them in, and he felt a little embarrassed that he had spent so much. Mine were more comfortable, didn't cause blisters in the ankles, and weighed much less. He's poured money into replacement buckles and soles, while I just continue to ride. I wouldn't argue that they're the best boot made, but for this price it's hard to argue against buying them. My only complaint might be the sizing, I wear a 10.5 but my boots are 12's. However, I've had the same problem with Fox and O'Neal, and the Alpinestars were size 13 and fit tight so it's not exclusive to SixSixOne, and can probably be accredited to the additional gear we wear when riding.

awesome pair of boots for the first time I can actually say that my feet have been kept dry when going through puddles and long water sections. water did come in one time but thats because I was standing in water for about 5 minutes.
