Comments about Tour Master - Sonora Air Jacket:

I had the Tour Master Transition 3 which is great for cold weather, but there was not enough air flow for the hot, humid days of summer.

The Sonoma is essentially the same jacket, but the outer shell is a mesh that is as good as it gets for summer. It is essentially a mesh textile jacket reinforced with armor in the shoulders, forearms, elbows and spine. It is a three piece system that includes a rain liner and an insulated liner.

The Sonoma is a longer version of the Air Intake. Without the rain liner and insulated liner, the jacket runs a little large, but not a big issue.

Comments about Tour Master - Sonora Air Jacket:

The northeast has a shorter riding season then some other areas of the country. If you want to man-up and ride with the big boys year-round you're going to need the right gear to do it. After going to a lots of m/c shops and trying on dozens of jackets I finally settled on this one. It Seems to be a true all weather jacket. I initially was looking for a high-quality mesh jacket because summers can get very warm here in upstate New York. But with it's waterproof 2 stage liner system I got so much more. The first stage is an insulated liner, the second stage is a waterproof liner. Either of these items can be worn singly or in tandem as a light jacket. Combined with the ballistic polyester mesh of the outer jacket you have an unbeatable combination. You also have CE approved removable armor. There are plenty of pockets and pouches. With the sleeve take-ups adjustable belts and zippers it's easy to fine-tune the jacket fit perfectly. I'm a pretty Beefy guy so I've always had trouble finding jackets that fit correctly, this one fit like it was tailor-made for me. There are only two things that bother me, actually one and a half things. Because of the different layers there are a lot of zippers so it's easy to get them mixed up so be careful. The other thing is when the jacket is fully assembled it can be heavier than what you may be used to. In the cooler months I ride with a very heavy leather jacket so it wasn't much of an adjustment for me. All-in-all your getting a great jacket for the price. More like three great jackets for the price. Not only would I highly recommend this jacket to a friend, I would recommend it to any motorcycle rider that I meet.
