Ballistic is a super thick and tough nylon material, developed for the military to protect against shrapnel. The ballistic inserts are there to give the rider some leg protection while out on the road. The pants are also engineered to be more comfortable. These riding pants employ four way stretch fabric in strategic areas to afford riders more flexibility and a more natural range of motion. The ability to move and stretch prevents the pants from riding up or pulling down.
