Leatt – Glove GPX 5.5 Lite

Dr. Leatt filed his first neck-brace related patent in 2003 and went on to found the Leatt Corporation in 2007. In less than a decade, Leatt has become one of the leaders in the body armor and protective gear industry. Leatt manufactures some of the most innovative and thoughtful protective gear, inspired by the top medical professionals and biomechanical engineers in the industry. Since the introduction of the acclaimed Leatt-Brace, Leatt has expanded and diversified their product catalog.  The Leatt Corporation continues to release new products that further establish themselves as the industry leader in quality, safety and performance. The GPX line of motorsports gear, body armor and apparel is the newest line of products from Leatt. Included in this release is the brand new Leatt GPX 5.5 Lite Gloves. These are some of the best dirt bike gloves on the market.

The Leatt GPX 5.5 Lite Gloves are loaded with features that make them great motocross gloves. The material allows the gloves to fit snuggly on each hand while still maintaining their flexibility. These gloves provide excellent grip thanks to the NanoGrip technology. That is because each NanoGrip fiber is 7,500 times thinner than a human hair. The snug fit and the thin material allows for the tightest grip possible, great for racing or riding trails. Because the material on the fingers is so thin, the gloves are actually touch screen compatible. Snapping a pic or recording a video on a smart phone can be done without taking these motocross gloves off! The lower palm is reinforced with synthetic suede to prevent wear and tear. The top of the glove is made out of Leatt’s Lite fabric. This material has good airflow, is windproof, waterproof and flexible enough to stretch in four different directions.  The fabric does an excellent job at protecting the upper hand and the wrist from stinging wind.

The Leatt GPX 5.5 Lite gloves are one of the best dirt bike gloves for tough weather conditions. The material provides a superior grip in both wet and dry environments. Not only do these biking gloves provide excellent grip in all weather conditions, they also provide protection. These gloves are adorned with Armourgel® on the knuckles, fingers and upper hand. Armourgel® is a protective material that hardens upon impact. The strength of the Armourgel® increases with the strength of an impact. The 5.5 Lite gloves have been tested and certified as impact protection. Leatt has identified areas of the hands as critical protection areas and have reinforced their motocross gloves accordingly. These locations include the thumb, fingers, knuckles and upper hand. The gloves provide great protection while still being lightweight and flexible. The Leatt GPX 5.5 Lite Gloves are tested and certified to provide protection to the riders’ hands against water, wind and impacts.
