Leatt - Helmet GPX 6.5 Carbon V16
Dr. Leatt filed his first neck-brace related patent in 2003 and went on to found the Leatt Corporation in 2007. Since the introduction of the acclaimed Leatt-Brace, Leatt has expanded and diversified their product catalog. In less than a decade, Leatt has become one of the leaders in body armor and protective motorsports gear. Leatt manufactures some of the most innovative and thoughtful protective gear on the market. Leatt protective gear is designed by medical professionals and biomechanical engineers to ensure their products take safety and performance to the next level. The new Leatt GPX 6.5 Carbon V16 Helmet is a great addition to the Leatt line of products, and is one of the best dirt bike helmets on the market. The Leatt Corporation continues release new products that further establish them as the industry leader in quality, safety and performance.
Not only are the new helmets from Leatt some of the best dirt bike helmets, they are some of the most comfortable too. The 6.5 carbon is engineered for the safest and most comfortable wear, so the rider can focus on performance. The helmet weighs less than three pounds, packing a surprising amount of protection for its size and weight. That is because the helmet offers the most amount of ventilation panels without compromising the structural integrity of the helmet. The 6.5 carbon is of the most ventilated and cool helmets on the market. The ventilation panels work optimally at faster riding speeds achieved in off-road racing, but maintain their effectiveness at very low speed. The inner liner is made of a fast wicking fabric that dries quickly and cools off the rider. The Leatt GPX 6.5 Carbon helmets are cool helmets, in every sense of the word.
The amount of safety features this helmet has quickly made it one best dirt bike helmets. It begins with the outer shell, which is engineered to be ten percent smaller than other helmets. The smaller helmet shell reduces the amount of rotational force applied to the neck, head and brain. The rider is also protected by their patented 360 turbine technology. Turbines are embedded between the outer and inner shells that absorb and redirect impact force. The turbines are constructed out of Armourgel®, a material that hardens on impact. The harder the impact is, the more Armourgel® protects the rider. The patented turbine technology is proven to reduce concussion level impacts by as much as thirty percent. Not only do the turbines absorb direct impact, they reduce rotational impact by up to forty percent. This greatly reduces the risk for neck injures too. Speaking of neck injuries, the 6.5 carbon is fully compatible with the Leatt line of neck braces. The helmet is shaped to work seamlessly with the Leatt brace without relinquishing performance capabilities.

Comments about Leatt - Helmet GPX 6.5 Carbon V16:
For me and my research of all the upper end helmets it came down to the 6D and the Leatt.
Agter trying both on the Leatt fit my head better.
Combine that with the size of shell, weight, hands free camelback venting and price. I choose the Leatt and would recommend to others.
