The NEXX X40 Plain Helmet is a versatile modular motorcycle helmet. The rider has the option of wearing the helmet with the chin protection in place, or complete without it. Removing the chin protector converts this full-face helmet into an open-face helmet. This option allows the rider to wear the modular motorcycle helmet however they want. Both options have their pros & cons. In its full-face form, the X40 safeguards the entire head at the cost of ventilation. Removing the chin shield increases airflow, while sacrificing chin & face protection. The X40 modular motorcycle helmet is lightweight, and obviously lighter when converted. The exterior shell is comprised of alternating layers of fiberglass and carbon fiber. This allows the helmet to protect the rider without increasing the overall weight.
