O'Neal - Mayhem Lite Blocker Pant (Youth)

Back in the early days of off-road racing, there weren’t many brands making gear specifically for this new class of riders. People were using their street gear on dirt tracks & trails, but it was obvious that they needed something more. Jim O’Neal recognized the need for more durable dirt gear, and subsequently founded his company in 1970. You could say that the rest is history. O’Neal has been making high quality gear dirt bike gear and apparel for almost fifty years now, and aren’t about to hit the brakes. In fact, the 2018 release is one of their best gear sets yet! The O’Neal Mayhem Lite Blocker Youth Pants were actually released earlier in the season as a precursor to the new gear set. Originally only available in the Hi-Viz yellow & black, these O’Neal youth dirt bike pants now come in two additional colorways. The first of which is a cool teal, black and gray scheme. The other is a red, white & gray that will be a bit cooler on hot days. The three color palettes pair up with matching Mayhem Lite Blocker Jerseys. These pants have a pretty conservative design as far as motocross gear is concerned. The O’Neal logos are branded across both thighs, and take the form of patches over the knees. The design of these 2018 O’Neal kids motocross pants was made with the competitive racer in mind. They are one of the lightest pants in the whole lineup. O’Neal even shed the rubber thigh patches that are found on the other Element pant line, to shed additional weight for racing. The legs have a tapered construction for aesthetic reasons, but also to prevent bunching down in the boot area. The knees on the O’Neal dirt bike pants are pre-bent so they stay in place while the rider moves around on the bike.

These youth dirt bike pants are made out of a durable polyester material with triple stitching for extra reinforcement. One of the best features of this Mayhem Lite Blockers is the vented mesh liner. This gives the rider some extra ventilation for those extra hot races. Speaking of heat, these 2018 O’Neal kids motocross pants are equipped with leather knee panels to protect the rider from excess heat that radiates from the bike. It also affords them a non-slip surface to grip the bike with. One last key feature is the placement of stretch panels. This special material is place at key joints to provide a more natural range of motion. The stretch panels can be found in the crotch and in 360 degrees around the knees.
