Been using this about 18 months now after exploding my rib cage after a pretty average get off. At first it felt bulky and it looks goony but the protection is second to none. I can't imagine riding without it any more. I think RXR failed in the outer shell part of the chest protector by making it from thick yet soft silicone. It's very heavy because of this and I think a lighter, harder outer shell should be used instead. I have actually tested this theory with my kids, they both have earlier RXR inflatable protectors but they are just fabric over the bladder. I decided to pair that with a Fly Pivot roost guard which is very thin, lightweight hard plastic. This combination is actually much better than the RXR Strongflex as it has the best of both worlds, awesome inflatable bladder with a lightweight and strong outer shell. They would really be on to something if they upgraded to this design. Regardless, I'll keep wearing my RXR as it offers protection that no other chest protector can.
