Bell - Star MIPS Torsion Helmet

The Bell star Torsion helmet is a classic. It is the successor to the first Bell Helmets that were first made in 1967 that were revered as the first full face helmets on the market. Since then Bell has left their mark on the industry. Bell caused other companies to think the way they do when it comes to business. Also Bell has consistently raising the bar for full face helmets!

The shell of this bell helmet is made from a blend of carbon fiber, fiberglass and Aramid. This proprietary mix provides all the strength of most high end carbon fiber helmets. With the latest in carbon fiber technology providing the lightest and strongest helmet shells they have ever made. The Viewport of the Torsion has been updated to create a better vertical and lateral field of view.

The interior of the Torsion Helmet is lined with the XT2 Silver Liner. The XT2 is an antimicrobial fabric that is proven to provide odor protection and inhibits the growth of bacteria throughout the lifespan of the liner itself. The XT2 Liner’s are permanently bonded with a layer of 99.9%(pure metallic silver. The ions of the silver create an ionic shield that permanently inhibits the growth of bacteria and other fungi. Despite the infused metal the fibers are flexible that look no different from other fabrics. The interior pads are resting on the MIPS slip-plane technology. What this does is, upon impact the pads are to move with the head of the wearer and shift at initial point of impact. This shifting in the pads allows them to absorb more of the kinetic energy from the impact and significantly reduces the risk of traumatic brain injuries.
