If you're shopping for motocross gear and want to understand the return process before buying, here's what you need to know about BTO Sports' return policy for helmets, boots, and goggles.
The Standard Return Window
BTO Sports accepts returns on unworn, unwashed items within 30 days of purchase for U.S. customers. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, except for items purchased with store credit, which are refunded as store credit only. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and a $7.99 prepaid return label fee is deducted from the refund amount.
Helmets
Dirt bike helmets are eligible for return within the 30-day window as long as they are unworn and in original condition. One important packaging note: helmets must be placed inside a separate outer shipping box before sending back. Attaching a return label directly to the helmet box — or returning it in damaged packaging — can result in a restocking deduction or outright refusal, since BTO Sports requires items to arrive in resellable condition.
Boots
Dirt bike boots follow the same 30-day policy and carry the same packaging requirement. The original boot box must go inside a larger outer carton before shipping. Returns that arrive with the label stuck directly to the boot box may be subject to a deduction or refused. As with all returns, boots must be unworn with no signs of use.
Goggles
Dirt bike goggles are covered under the standard 30-day return policy. They must be unworn and returned in original condition with all packaging intact.
What's Not Eligible
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances: OEM parts, flash sale and closeout items, face masks, customized products such as custom jersey prints, and anything marked as final sale — which includes items discounted 50% or more. Exchanges
Exchanges are available for the same item in a different size only. A prepaid return label is provided for exchanges, and the $7.99 label fee is waived.
Tips for a Clean Return
Initiate your return promptly — the 30-day window runs from purchase date, not delivery. For helmets, boots, and neck braces specifically, always double-box: original product box inside a separate outer shipping carton.
