Why Shop BTO Sports for Dirt Bike Gear, Parts, & Accessories
BTO is a shop run by riders, and that shows in what we carry and how we stock it. On the gear side, our helmets wall runs deep: Alpinestars, Troy Lee, Fox, Bell, Shoei, 6D, O'Neal, and more at every budget level. Boots are where we stock the widest selection in the business, led by Alpinestars and Sidi with options from Gaerne, Forma, Fox, Leatt, and Thor filling every fit and price point. For protection, Leatt leads our chest, neck brace, and knee lineup. 100% leads goggles. Thor and Alpinestars lead pants and jerseys. On the parts side, we carry FMF and Pro Circuit for exhaust, Renthal for handlebars and sprockets, ODI for grips, and Maxima for the full range of oils, chain lube, air filter oil, and coolant. For accessories, Factory Effex covers graphics kits and seat covers, and OGIO handles bags and packs. We keep the full ecosystem stocked because real riders need more than just a jersey.
FAQ
-
A proper dirt bike setup starts with a helmet, goggles, jersey, pants, boots, and gloves. Most riders also add a chest protector or roost deflector and knee guards. If you ride with regularity, a neck brace significantly reduces the risk of cervical spine injury in a crash and is worth the investment. The helmet is the most critical piece: it needs to be DOT certified at minimum, with ECE or SNELL certification being a meaningful step up. Boots protect the ankle and shin in a way no other piece of gear can replicate. Once you have the core pieces dialed, goggles, gloves, and protection layers round out a full setup.

At BTO Sports, our top-selling helmet brands are Alpinestars, Troy Lee Designs, Fox Racing, and Bell. Alpinestars leads overall helmet sales with a lineup from the Supertech R down to accessible entry models. Troy Lee's SE5 and SE4 are consistently popular for riders who want strong construction and distinctive graphics. Bell's Moto-10 is one of the most trusted helmets in amateur and professional racing. Fox covers the premium and mid-range tiers with the V3 RS and V1. For riders who want the deepest protection engineering available, 6D's ATR-3 uses an active ODS suspension layer that no other brand matches. Shoei and Arai are for riders who want hand-built Japanese quality with serious safety credentials.

BTO Sports carries one of the deepest boot selections in the sport. Alpinestars is our top-selling boot brand, with the Tech 10 leading as the most popular premium MX boot we carry. Sidi is our second-highest selling boot brand: the Crossfire 3 and Atojo SRS are Italian-made with a replaceable parts system that extends boot life significantly. Gaerne's SG-22 is a premium Italian alternative with a resolable sole for riders who want a narrower, more athletic fit. Forma offers Italian construction at a lower price point. Fox, Leatt, Thor, Moose Racing, and O'Neal round out the lineup for riders who want a solid boot at mid-range pricing.

BTO Sports carries FMF and Pro Circuit, which are the two most respected aftermarket exhaust brands in motocross. FMF's flagship systems include the Factory 4.1 RCT for four-strokes and the Gnarly and Fatty pipes for two-stroke applications. Their MegaBomb header and Resonance Chamber Technology make the 4.1 RCT one of the most widely installed systems on the trail and track. Pro Circuit's Ti-6 titanium system is the highest-performing option in our exhaust lineup, developed directly from their Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki race program. The T-6 stainless system delivers most of the same power gains at a lower price point. Both brands manufacture in the US and back their systems with strong technical support.

For handlebars, BTO carries Renthal, which invented the aluminum motocross handlebar and remains the most trusted bar brand in the sport. The Twinwall is Renthal's flagship featuring a 7010 T73 outer tube wrapped around a T6 inner tube for vibration damping and strength. The Fatbar covers the standard single-piece oversized aluminum market. Renthal offers over nine bend profiles and their WorksFit tool helps riders select the right geometry for their height, riding style, and existing setup. For grips, BTO carries ODI, the brand that invented the lock-on grip system. Their Emig Pro V2 is the most popular model we carry and includes a throttle tube. The Rogue is built for riders with larger hands who prefer a thicker, softer feel.

BTO carries Maxima Racing Oils, a California-based brand founded in 1979 that is one of the most trusted names in motorsports chemistry. Their lineup covers everything a dirt bike rider needs in the garage: SC1 High Gloss Coating is Maxima's top-selling product and the standard for protecting plastics. Castor 927 is a castor-based two-stroke premix oil with one of the highest flash points in the category. FFT Foam Filter Treatment is the standard reference for reusable air filter oil. Beyond those top products, Maxima makes fork fluid, chain wax, engine flush, coolant, and full synthetic engine oil for four-stroke engines. It is the one brand that covers the entire maintenance lineup in one place.

Yes. BTO Sports carries Factory Effex, which is the original motocross graphics brand, founded in Valencia, California in 1992 by the rider who invented aftermarket MX graphics. Factory Effex makes aftermarket graphics kits for most current and past production motocross bikes, OEM-replica graphics for riders who want a factory look, licensed Monster Energy and Rockstar Energy team graphics sets, and seat covers. Their UltraCurve vinyl is designed to conform to complex shroud shapes without lift or creasing. Factory Effex is the strongest name in graphics that we carry and covers the widest range of fitments in our selection.

Yes. We carry youth motocross gear across most of our major brands including helmets, jerseys, pants, boots, gloves, goggles, and protection sized for younger riders. Alpinestars, Thor, Fox, Fly Racing, O'Neal, and Bell all offer youth-specific sizing. O'Neal is a particularly strong option for families who want youth gear at an accessible price without sacrificing safety certifications. Alpinestars and Fox both offer youth versions of their most popular adult gear lines. Youth boots are available from Alpinestars, Thor, and Moose Racing. For families gearing up a junior rider, we recommend starting with a properly fitting certified helmet and a full-coverage boot before adding protection layers.

Most motocross jerseys run close to true to size. Pants are where sizing varies most by brand: Thor and Fox run close to true waist measurement, Alpinestars is consistent true to size, and some brands like Seven MX run slim or athletic. For boots, use the brand's own size chart and measure your foot length in centimeters rather than converting from US shoe size, especially for Italian brands like Alpinestars, Sidi, and Gaerne. Helmets should be measured at the widest circumference of your head about one inch above the eyebrows. If you need sizing help for a specific brand or product, reach out to our team at BTO and we will get you sorted before you order.
