Icon - Variant Cottonmouth Helmet

    The Variant Cottonmouth Helmet is an intense new helmet from Icon’s 2018 line of products. Emblazoned across the entirety of the helmet are the depictions what are assumed to be cottonmouth snakes. This species is sometimes colloquially referred to as the ‘water moccasin’. The Cottonmouth Helmet comes in 2 colors, a red and a blue. Each of these helmets has the vipers outlined in black and allow for the base color of the helmet to fill the serpents.

    The Variant Cottonmouth Helmet shell is made from a composite polycarbonate comprised of, fiberglass, dyneema and carbon. This helmet is strong and durable enough to meet the helmet safety standards of, DOT FMVSS 218(USA), ECE 22-05 (Europe), SAI AS1698:2006 (Australia) and PSC (Japan). The Cottonmouth Helmet also comes with a clear fog-free variant precision optics™. This shield from Icon provides a wide range perspective to provide the most unobstructed view possible to the wearer. There are a total of 6 air intake vents as well 4 exhaust ports. These air vents are designed to help keep the wearer dry and cool.

    The interior of the Variant Cottonmouth Helmet interior has a moisture wicking material called by Icon, Hydradry™. This material be completely removed and washed. Though it must only be washed in a mild solution to prevent any damage or deterioration of the material. Another way that the helmet is designed to keep the wearer cool is the addition of several vents that are molded into the helmet. These vents are located on the sides of the helmet front and back as well as the forehead and back of the head. This is to ensure that there are no hotspots while wearing the Variant Cottonmouth Helmet.
